Training Workshop for those affected by someone in addiction
Recovery from codependency is a journey to love the self. Living the program of recovery allows you to become increasingly honest with yourself about your personal history and your codependent behaviours.

What is codependency?

Somewhere along this road you learn about codependence. You may hear it in a lecture, in a share, from your families attending support group meetings, or from your counsellor. You may have wondered if codependence describes who you are.
Codependence is a disease that deteriorates our souls. It affects our personal lives: our families, children, spouses, friends and relatives; our businesses and careers; our health; and our spiritual growth. It is debilitating and, if left untreated, causes us to become destructive to ourselves and to others.  This workshop will help you to come to the point where you must look beyond yourself for help.

Whether it’s crisis or curiosity that brings you to this point, in this workshop you will learn about the characteristics of codependence. These characteristics help determine what unhealthy patterns weave in and out of your life. Do you live in extremes instead of balance? How do you, your partner, children and friends suffer because of your behaviours? Do your codependent behaviours cause your relationships to decay, deteriorate or destruct? If the answers to these soul-searching questions causes you to admit that you are codependent, then you’re beginning to locate recovery’s path.
